Being the most comprehensive and advanced type of maintenance among planned maintenance activities, predictive maintenance (cautionary maintenance) applications are based on the principle of taking measures after analyzing the measurement values taken during the robot operation.
The robots are monitored from certain points in the predictive maintenance application. Technological measurement equipment and software are used for this purpose. The results of measurements taken in a certain time interval are analyzed, thus possible failures in the robots are determined beforehand. A planned maintenance program is prepared and the robot is maintained after the analysis.
Possible failures in robots are fixed thanks to this maintenance method before they reach more expensive and large sizes. Since the failures are detected beforehand, undesired shut-downs and part replacement are prevented. Thus, savings are provided from the costs to be incurred due to labor, maintenance and production losses.
Predictive Maintenance Application Phases- Measurement: The aim is to prevent possible robot failures. Therefore, critical points are determined on the robot for analysis and measurement. Necessary measurements are made.
- Analysis: The results of measurement are analyzed. The root of the failure is examined.
- Repair: The detected failure is evaluated according to the operating program and it is included in the repair program.
