Performing repetitive mounting process with manpower is a low-efficiency working method since it is an error-prone and boring process. The use of robots is increasing rapidly in order to ensure standardization for mounting parts coming out of the production line in series.
Working simultaneously with the production lines, assembly robots may detect products coming irregularly and disorderly with barcode, QR code, sensor or camera and they may mount them quickly and accurately.
Standing out with their speed and flexibility when compared to manual assembly systems, assembly robots ensure that production lines operate at full capacity and significantly increase production efficiency.
All requests and demands of the customer are collected for the transition to robotic assembly system and the following steps are followed:
- The compatibility of the parts to be assembled is checked for the transition to the robotic system.
- Assembly robot is determined which has suitable cycle times, speed, reach and load capacity for process, through analyzing the parts on the simulation which to be assembled.
- If more than one assembly robot is required to assemble the parts, the system is set up with a line-shaped stations.
- Gripping and centering equipments are selected to be suitable for aseembly work that will provide the highest efficiency.
- Electricity, automation and plc infrastructure is created according to the project scope.
- Upon request, the entire system is provided in the assembly cabinet or a cell.
- The suitability of the designed system is finalized as a result of the studies conducted with the customer, and the system is formed into its general shape.
- The prepared system is equipped with compatible equipment for occupational health and safety and then it is commissioned.
- After the completion of commissioning process, the system is maintained through after-sales services.
