Having almost limitless mobility, paint robots are used more day by day in robotic automation applications. Paint robots enable more precise work compared to traditional painting systems, and increase efficiency in production thanks to less defective painting process.

It is possible to reach even hard-to-reach areas as well as deep parts through paint robots that have a very flexible structure compared to fixed axis systems. In this way, the spreading of paint is effectively performed on the surfaces to be coated, and the number of defective parts and the need for manual finishing is eliminated.

Providing a standard painting opportunity through determinedly repetition of the same processes, paint robots significantly reduce the generation of unnecessary paint waste compared to manual systems and minimize the use of paint.

If the painting process is applied manually, it is inevitable for operators to be exposed to hazardous chemicals, solvents and toxins. For this reason, the painting process that is a risky work provides a very safe working environment for occupational health in case of performance with robots.

All requests and demands of the customer are collected for the transition to the robotic painting system and the following steps are followed:

  • The compatibility of the part to be painted is checked for the transition to the robotic system.
  • Painting robot is determined which has suitable cycle times, speed and reach for process, through analyzing the parts on the simulation which to be painted.
  • If more than one paint robot is required to paint the parts, the system is set up with a line-shaped stations.
  • Painting equipment is selected to be suitable for painting process that will provide the highest efficiency.
  • Electricity, automation and plc infrastructure is created according to the project scope.
  • Upon request, the entire system is provided in the painting cabinet or a cell.
  • The suitability of the designed system is finalized as a result of the studies conducted with the customer, and the system is formed into its general shape.
  • The prepared system is equipped with compatible equipment for occupational health and safety and then it is commissioned.
  • After the completion of commissioning process, the system is maintained through after-sales services.
